★ Feelin' GROOVYYYYYY

Slow down,
you move too fast.
You got to make the morning last.
Just kicking down the cobble stones.
Looking for fun and
feelin'groovy.
Ba da, Ba da, Ba da, Ba da...Feelin' Groovy.

Hello
lamp-post,
What cha knowin'?
I've come to watch your flowers growin'.
Ain't cha got no rhymes for me?
Doot-in' doo-doo,
Feelin'groovy.

I've got no deeds to do,
No promises to keep.
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep.
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me.
Life, I love you,
All is groovy.

★ Fairy Hoody & Hoody Trip by Nina Kresnik ★

Since you read about Nina's art work and her life, you know by now that this "wave artist" is also a designer. Her clothes collections include * Fairy hoody *, * Hoody trio*, trousers, and various kinds of accessories. Here's some of her work, which you can also buy from her here.

The world of clothes

Dude, it looks like GRUNGE is back. I wasn't even aware it was gone.

If I had to tell you what my fashion style was, of course, I wouldn't know what to tell you. Sometimes, I don't care. Sometimes, I just wear whatever I have at disposal. Sometimes, I'd like to have a certain style - but I guess having none, IS my style.
Well, but if I had to decide, it would be grunge. I am a sucker for huge caps and hats, preferably woolen. I am definitely a jeans gal. If it's torn and "grungy" even better. Unfortunately, I only have one pair, because my mum threw them all away. She hates torn jeans:) And shirts - checkered shirts with lots of different pins. Suspenders. Boots (Dr. Marteens are still a classic). A vest, a jacket, wacky sun glasses. Yup. That's definitely what I like, but don't wear very often. It's too much work and too many items to deal with. Who's got time?!

And, oh, man. Clothes are way overpriced. I think they are MAD in the world of fashion. Suppose you desperately need a job and you finally get one and it requires formal attire. Unless you have a friend who'll lend you what you need for the first month, you are screwed, dear friend! You can spend the entire first salary solely on clothes. Those things cost way, way too much. And it's getting worse.
The whole world seems to be obsessed with fashion. There's a fashion mania going on everywhere you go. The only thing about that that I actually like is that ANYTHING you wear seems to be fashionable. heheh. That's good. Very good.

This looks feasible, but I would certainly remove the high heels
and replace them with more comfortable shoes
;)

I remember being in London when I was 18 and OF COURSE I went to Covent Garden, where there is (I hope it still is) a huge Dr. Marteen's store. I left it with a few pairs of shoes...and got a little Dr. Marteens booklet. It said:

Grunge is what happens when children of divorce get their hands on guitars. :)

Play outside :))))

It's almost 11 p.m. I just looked at the clock and discovered that I spent the WHOLE day in front of the computer. The whole day. Not that the weather was inviting to spend it more wisely, but still - I think I have a some kind of a moral hangover.

So, for the final few minutes, I checked out some blogs (among the GAZILLIONS) and (how conveniently) found this in one of them.

It's time to start the day now:)

★ Analogue nostalgia

Looks like someone is going to shoot a wedding in Las Vegas in January:)))))) yeeeehaw!
Need more memory cards, flash, additional battery (= reminder!!). Oh, man (I moan) .Where have all the good days in photography gone. You know... getting a role of film or two and wait patiently (and economically) for that perfect shot. No memory cards for thousands of random, shitty photos you can delete afterwards. No spending money you don't have for additional equipment you need with a digital. Just the basics and patience, and eagerness to see the developed role of film, being intimate with it in the dark room, putting it on the reels in complete darkness, taking it to the sink in a tank, pouring liquids into it, shaking it, checking the clock, and then getting it out and ...MAGIC. Your efforts unwind on a strip of film. You dry it, take it to the darkroom and with a bit of light and chemicals, you make a print. It's a ritual. Meditation topped with the feeling of success.

Well, and now.... the digital mania is here. The analogue material is almost gone, and I have to make do with what I have. And what I have is not much. It's a shitty lens, performing terribly bad in low light conditions. I'll have to go through hell to get a few good shots in the city of lights. Irony right there. I'm going to the city of lights and it will be too dark for good shots. hehahha.
Well, it will be like in the good old days. Before I went to the States in 2003, my grandmother secretly gave me a little money, so that I could buy a camera there. And so I did. At Pinkey's, in this run down neighborhood with run down houses and broken cars along the road in Little Rock, I bought my very first totally manual, analogue, camera, a Kalimar with an additional zoom lens. It was a great camera for learning (a requirement in my photography class). I used it throughout my travels. I remember using it at concerts, in Las Vegas....well, in places with low light. And I got some good shots. They were not the most clear shots in the world, but they were good, thanx to the low light lens I used. No flash. :) And I managed.

Here are some shots with this camera (scanned).
